History and Information:

The Dixon industry was recognized in 1948 by W.O. Dixon in Coffeyville, Kansas.  Later than he united with his father’s corporation in the 1960s K.O. Dixon acquired the rights to a ground-breaking ZTR lawnmower in 1974.  The Dixon Lawn Mowers diverged from other ZTR equipment by using wheels autonomously motorized as an alternative of exclusive hydraulic wheels used by marketable makers. The earliest version of the Dixon ZTR had built-in a 42 inch blade with an eight horsepower engine. Afterward the versions of the Dixon ZTR seriated with cutting blade size from 30 to 60 inches. Coleman bought the Dixon manufacturing Company in 1986, and then sold the company in 1990 to Blount International Company, who gave complete attention on outdoor manufacturing.  Dixon lawnmowers are marketing in several countries all over the world as well as the United States, Canada, Europe and Australia.

Cutting hours into minutes®

In 1973, Dixon purchased a unique, patented zero-turn transaxle which delivered independent drive power to the rear wheels for ultimate control. In 1974, Dixon ZTR® was born when the first model rolled off the assembly line. Homeowners could now experience the maneuverability of a zero-turn mower at an affordable price.

Today, Dixon offers a zero-turn model line that suits both the homeowner and the professional landscaper. In 2010, Dixon introduced 3 conventional riding tractors loaded with features to satisfy even the most discerning homeowner.

Cutting the grass doesn’t have to be a job…enjoy the ride on a Dixon mower.
